Monkey News Animation: DONE!

I know there were some doubters out there who thought this half-finished project would wallow among my many other unfinished ideas but you were wrong!

Luckily, Mr. Robert opened up our final class project to include any thing we had worked on over the course of the semester...which meant I could go back and finish this.

So, here you go...the finished animation.

Please be aware, there is a single curse word at the end...when you see a monkey towards the end of the video, you might want to plug your ears.

Without further ado:

Tell your friends!

O let us be married!

Now that the Owl and Cat are out of the bag, I think I can show this...

If you recognize it from some sort of cookie packaging, let's just call it an "homage."

The Video Project

So...each of us in class received a subject for a video project. We were supposed to use interesting camera-work and/or editing techniques to make the somewhat mundane topics more compelling.
I never got there...

I got to throw some lightsabers in, though.

Oh...this poor, poor blog.

Neglected.  Alone.  Never visited.  How sad.

I know nobody really looks at this thing but I am getting marked on this in some capacity so I really need to update this more often.

I only have the one studio class this semester so, unfortunately, I don't have a ton of work to update this sad blog with.  I am going to finish that Monkey News animation at some point but that's a labour-intensive prospect that competes with other obligations for my time.

I have a couple other pictures that I'll hopefully put up at some point but I won't show those until my "customers" (yes, they are commissions) get them first.

I could put an Art History essay but I'm not sure that'd be all that exciting for anybody...I did, however, get an "A" on said paper.

For now, you'll just have to peruse the meager offerings I have so far...or, go and check out the Holger Danske Comic Blog.  There's a new page up and plenty of other fun stuff to keep you entertained.

Been quite busy finishing what I could on this Monkey News animation.

I've only got the first third of it done and hopefully I have time to work on it more and actually finish it. Plus, there's a few areas that need to be redone...luckily, I'm really good at finishing any and all projects I start...so, no worries there.

Here's the video that I have so far. On a side note, I recommend the Ricky Gervais podcasts...you do have to put up with a little foul language and people insulting eachother, but it's good for a few (make that a lot of) laughs.

Also, I'm having a blog-naming contest because, let's face it, "Cody's Corner" was place-filling material at best.

So...for the three or four people that I know have looked at this blog, I'd like your suggestions.

A few provisos:
1. You can feel free to leave my name out of it altogether.
2. Alliteration is not a requirement.
3. There is no need to have your title relate to art school.

There you have it...another winning post.

Later.

This is a sneak preview/test for the animation project.
Here's a look at the star of the upcoming animation project.

Really cool people will know who this is.

Ah...the all-important first post.

First off, if you're looking for the Holger Danske comic blog, this isn't it. If you want that, follow this link.

For those of you still here, this blog will be used as a sort of online sketchbook where I'll be sharing work from my art school days, past and present. Sometimes there will be blasts from the past (sketchbooks) and sometimes it will be updates from my current studies at ACAD.

Since I've only got one studio class this semester, most content will be in the Media and Design Technologies vein (MADT for the cool people) but that doesn't mean there won't be plenty to see. Even now, I'm working on a Monkey News animation that is sure to entertain.

To start us off, here's a classic...done 5 years ago for a Drawing:Anatomy class.

Later, skaters.
